The hotel boasts a marvellous choice of activities with a nine hole golf course, two all-weather tennis courts and an outdoor heated swimming pool (May to September). There are also plenty of other outdoor activities such as clay pigeon shooting, croquet and archery which can be arranged on the estate. Briggens House Hotel is an ideal location for business travellers, with access to the golf course and other activities as well as multiple meeting rooms and the Bridgeman Restaurant; it is a perfect location for both business and relaxation. As befits a house as stately as Briggens, it counts among its neighbours many stately homes including the seventeenth century Hatfield House, and the grand Knebworth House. The nearby town of Hertford has some interesting castle remains as well as a wealth of antique shops to browse in.
